Wings Come to the Leather Mayfly

Long before the Mayfly was a lifestyle shoe, it was a flyweight running model, boasting a minimalist nylon upper printed with a pattern that mimicked the namesake insect. The fashion-first edition is back in a big way this summer, but one upcoming colorway will include a nod to those OG looks.

Officially dubbed the Nike Mayfly Leather Premium, the shoe sports the luxe leather upper we’ve come to expect from the Nike Sportswear iteration of the beloved shoe — alas, sans the woven midsection we’ve come to love. In lieu of the usual simple leather though, that famous wing pattern is printed in blue onto the tan build, marrying together the shoe’s performance heritage and modern style.

The Nike Mayfly Leather Premium should hit stores this fall, the latest must-have look from a model that’s had plenty of them lately.
