The Nike Marxman “All Star” Hits the Mark, Man

All-Star Weekend is one of the biggest for NBA players and fans and sportswear companies alike. Tapping into that fever pitch of buzz, Nike will use the weekend as a platform to launch a bold new silhouette that blends basketball-inspired design with fashion-forward lifestyle execution.

We speak, of course, of the Nike Marxman, the sleek hightop model whose design seems to be rooted vaguely in that of the Air Zoom Huarache 2K4, with the high-fashion sensibilities (and affinity for straps) of many a Maison Margiela shoe.

First up, the Nike Marxman All Star releases on February 10, sporting a black look from sole to leather upper, with the latter finished in silver scale-like texturing. Subdued in color, yet eye-catching in design, the Nike Marxman All Star is still expected to be one of two launch colorways of the Marxman. Stay tuned for details on the other.
