Night Falls Upon the Nike VaporMax

The second wave of Nike VaporMax colorways has officially touched down, bringing with it a few looks that might just be the best yet on the still-nascent, midsole-less, utterly game-changing silhouette. Our nominee for best of the bunch? The Nike VaporMax College Navy.

The monochromatic masterpiece comes correct in an all-blue palette, with two-tone flecking through the Flyknit build overlaid by seamless solid blue paneling through the heel and toe. There’s black taping too, bringing a modicum of contrast, but you know the star of the show: that massive Max Air sole construction, contained by dreams and nary a midsole.

The Nike VaporMax College Navy can be had at retailers now if you’re lucky, size willing and all that — this one and other mens trainers at JD Sports, in particular. Retail’s US $190.
