Air Jordan 2 “Alternate” Release 2/6

This is a big weekend for releases. Well, a big week, really; the Kobe 11 Last Emperor and Foamposite One University Blue having already launched and all. But Saturday has a preponderance of heat on tap, starting here: the Air Jordan 2 Alternate 87.

Blending something old and something new, the brand new colorway sports a black leather upper overlaid with snakeskin-embossing and offset by red accents, a look inspired by how an MJ PE would have looked on the AJ2 back in 1987. No, it’s never released before, but it certainly looks the part of an OG.

The final chapter in the Air Jordan Alternate series — the Air Jordan 4 and 5 Low have already dropped — the Air Jordan 2 Alternate releases Saturday, February 6, at retailers nationwide, including online accounts at 10am EST/7am PST. Here’s the FinishLine.com purchase link.
